The works council of PCB-ITP Aero has shown its willingness to “resume” the dialogue to reinstate the 83 workers affected by the ERE declared void by the TSJPV and has asked the management to withdraw the appeal it has filed with the Supreme Court.

PCB-ITP Aero workers have gathered in front of the Barakaldo plant one year since the end, without agreement, of the negotiation period of the Employment Regulation File (ERE) that led to the dismissal of 83 workers from the plants of Barakaldo and Sestao.

The Superior Court of Justice of the Basque Country (TSJPV) declared null the ERE presented by the company, which appealed the ruling of the Basque court to the Supreme Court and has still not reinstated the 83 affected workers to their jobs, according to the works council.

During the rally, two workers disguised as Olentzero and Mari Domingi they have deposited coal at the entrance of the Barakaldo factory to show the rejection of the staff to the “behavior” of the management with respect to the collective dismissal and its “authoritarianism“.

The committee has shown its “total willingness to resume the path of dialogue” and has stressed that “it is necessary to make all possible efforts to put an end to the dramatic situation” suffered by the 83 workers readmitted after the ruling of the TSJPV but not They have returned to their posts.
