Regarding the National Price Index, a monthly variation of -0.01% was recorded in April. Meanwhile, annual inflation in the month of analysis reached 2.42%, falling within the range of between 1% and 3% determined by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP), a situation not seen since May 2021.
Likewise, in relation to the Price Index of the main cities of Peru, the AAP highlighted that in April the city that reported the highest level of annual inflation was Ayacucho with a variation of 3.44%, “being the only city that registers an inflation level above the Central Bank’s target range,” added the automotive union.
