More than 4 million independent workers have the ideal credit score to request a loan in Peru, according to recent research by Experian.
According to the analysis of Employability in Peru, with statistics as of February 2024, there are more than 1.1 million independent people who have a loan in the regulated system, which represents approximately more than S/23,000 million in employment products. micro and small businesses (mypes), “which are their financing engines for their businesses.”
Likewise, a total of 1 million 123,382 self-employed persons applied, until February, to the RUS regime, which is aimed at natural persons with businesses who sell goods or services to final consumers.
“At Experian we have analyzed the independent base with our predictive Risk score, identifying 4 million 72,000 people who have a good credit score as of February 2024, which would help them to possible grant loans by financial entities,” refers to the study.
It should be noted that the main economic activity of the independent labor market is focused on General Services, with 3.2 million people.
Experian: situation of independent workers
The situation of the labor market in Peru continues to have the independent worker as the main actor, according to the global information services company.
As of January 2024, Experian reports, there are 6 million 847,970 people who have an active and existing RUC: 52.3% are in the age range of 26 to 45 years; 20.6%, in an age range of 20 to 29 years; and 29.5%, in an age range of 30 to 40 years.
In addition, the rate of independent employees in January 2024 had an increase of 3.1% versus January 2023, that is, 205,877 people who have requested a RUC to start their economic activities.
