Carlos Oliva was removed from the presidency of the Fiscal Council despite the board’s request to keep him in the position he held since December 2020.

President Dina Boluarte considered it prudent to change it, in a context where Oliva questioned the “unusual” injection of S/100 million from the Contingency Reserve for the stadium Cradle of American Liberty of Ayacucho and also the approval of the Executive to the debt of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima (MML).

“His period as president of the Fiscal Council ended on December 31 (2023) and due to a natural renewal process he has not been considered for a second three-year period (…) It has nothing to do with a comment (sic ) if he had declared for the transfer that was made to Ayacucho. There is nothing illegal about it. I invite the Comptroller’s Office and the competent authorities to come and review the files to see if there was anything outside the legal framework,” Arista commented to the press after the Council. of Ministers.

Likewise, the official pointed out that within the Fiscal Council there are “good professionals” who will be able to take the reins of this body attached to the MEF. Let us remember that the CF board is also made up of: Carolina Trivelli, José Valderrama León, Alonso Segura and Waldo Mendoza.
