Exchange rate today, Wednesday, April 24, rose to S/3.7330

The Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) reported that the exchange rate ended today, Wednesday, April 24, at S/3.7330.

Thus, there is an increase of 0.64% considering that in the previous session, the dollar closed at S/3.7090.

The Republic confirmed that the dollar in the parallel market reached S/3,700 for purchase and S/3,730 for sale.

Meanwhile, at the banking level, the purchase price is S/3,689 and the sale price is S/3,775 at the BCP counters.

The BCRP specifies that so far in 2024, the dollar has an accumulated variation of 0.70% and in interannual terms, of -0.51%.

Globally, investors are waiting for the next decisions of the United States Federal Reserve (FED), according to Allison Pérez, Foreign Exchange Trader at Renta4 SAB.

The FED was expected to cut interest rates at least six times this year, but now there are signs that it may refrain from doing so as inflation in the United States has remained high.
