The Household Targeting System (Sisfoh) is a tool of Peru, administered by the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (midis). Its objective is to identify families that need access to Government social programs so that the benefits efficiently reach the most vulnerable households in the country.

Request the socioeconomic classification of my home
To be part of the Household Targeting System (Sisfoh) it is essential to obtain a socioeconomic classification (CSE) of your home. You can request it at the Local Registration Unit of the municipality where you reside. The ULE is responsible for managing your application, which includes collecting the necessary information and sending it to the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis). This procedure is an essential requirement to access the various social programs and benefits that depend on the socioeconomic classification of the household. Check more information on the official Government website at this LINK HERE.
Find out what the Sisfoh classification is like, according to socioeconomic level:
The Household Targeting System (Sisfoh) classifies Peruvian families into three socioeconomic levels, according to their economic capacity and ability to cover basic needs:
- Non-poor: include households with sufficient economic capacity to face the cost of the basic family basket without difficulties. They have the necessary resources to adequately satisfy their basic needs.
- Poor: includes those households whose income does not cover the expenses of the basic basket. These families face economic challenges that limit their quality of life and access to essential services.
- Extreme poverty: covers households in a situation of critical vulnerability, with insufficient income to ensure the minimum necessary for subsistence. The person experiences severe difficulties in satisfying his or her most fundamental needs.
How long does the socioeconomic classification last?
If you are registered, it is important to know that the validity of the socioeconomic classification (CSE) varies depending on the location and characteristics of the population. In urban areas, the classification lasts four years, while in rural areas, this period extends to six years. For members of indigenous or Amazonian peoples recognized by the Ministry of Culture, the validity is extended to eight years.
