CGTP does not expect good results in working groups convened by the MTPE and union centrals

After the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) will form three working groups with the Autonomous Central of Workers of Peru (CATP), the Central Unitary of Workers of Peru (CUT) and the Confederation of Workers of Peru (CTP), the secretary general of the General Confederation of Workers of Peru (CGTP), Gerónimo López SevillanoHe pointed out that he does not expect positive results in these spaces for dialogue.

López explained that, although there is a similar space with the CGTP, the head of the MTPE, Betssy Chávez never opened the work table which has a current resolution (nº 199-2017-TR) dated 2017.

In August of this year, the then Minister of Labor, Íber Maraví, presented the Agenda 19 as a consensual proposal to attend to the labor problems of the country. The general secretary of the CGTP indicated that it addresses issues such as the perfect suspension of work, collective bargaining, minimum salary, among others.

The secretary of the CGTP also reported that the MTPE promotes activities that go against the interests of the trade union centrals such as the National School of Union Studies.
