Dollar starts rising with S/3.7137 this Monday, April 15

Today the North American currency is at S/3.68 for purchase and S/3.72 for sale in the parallel market and in the banked market it is at S/3,703 and S/3,729 for purchase and sale, respectively.

The exchange rate started the week on the rise with S/3.7137, according to preliminary data from the Bloomberg international currency exchange portal. That is, 0.23% more than the previous day.

In the parallel market, the greenback The purchase price is S/3.68 and the sale price is S/3.72; while in banking, the purchase and sale is at S/3,703 and S/3,729, respectively.

The barrel of oil did not rise as expected after Iran’s attack on Israel and Brent remained stable at US$90 per barrel, while WTI fell to US$86 per barrel.

Gianina Villavicencio, Manager of Foreign Exchange Intermediation at Renta4 SAB, commented that globally the dollar is recovering after the latest economic data from the United States on the labor market and inflation, which have made expectations of a rate cut the Fed will taper once again.

So far this year, the dollar has accumulated a variation of -0.05% and in interannual terms, of -1.88%, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).
