Exchange rate: dollar starts its week on the rise and closes at S/3.69 this Monday, April 8

The dollar exchange rate closed its first session of the week higher and was around S/3.69 this Monday, April 8, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

On the previous day on Friday, the greenback had ended its career at S/3.68, and then de-escalated until the official opening of S/3.67, which marked the highest issuing entity.

In this way, the dollar has recorded a decline of -2.15% accumulated in the last 12 months against the Peruvian currency, and of -0.46% so far in 2024.

In the market of the country’s main banks, the North American currency is offered for S/3,646 for purchase and S/3,732 for sale. In the exchange houses and money changers of Jirón Ocoña, the price amounts to S/3.67 for the purchase and S/3.71 for the sale.
