New air routes announced to 3 Latin American countries: what are they?

The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (Promperú) has revealed plans for the inauguration of new air routes that will connect Peru with three nations of Latin Americain an effort to expand the country’s air connectivity in the near future.

This initiative was announced after the commission’s participation in the Routes Americas 2024 aerocommercial forum, an event that took place in Bogotá. According to Promperú, two of these destinations are located in South America and one in Central America.

Angélica Matsuda, executive president of Promperú, pointed out that direct connection will be offered with destinations in Brazil and Argentina. It was also commented that Avianca announced the beginning of its operations for the Lima-San Salvador route starting in June of this year, establishing three weekly flights.

Additionally, it has been anticipated that, by the year 2025, the company aerial has plans to increase its connectivity with San José, Costa Rica, as well as with other regions of the Caribbean.
