BCP was awarded the project to expand and improve the Ludwing Van Beethoven school in Arequipa

Committed to the development of the country’s educational infrastructure, the BCP signed an agreement with the GORE Arequipa, for the financing and execution of the expansion and improvement project of the Ludwing Van Beethoven school in Arequipa, with an investment of more than S/ 39 million, through the Works for Taxes mechanism. This project is the first of a new investment portfolio of S/500 million that the BCP approved in 2023.

“This project ratifies BCP’s commitment to national development by reducing gaps in infrastructure and quality of education. Some 1,800 students in the region will be able to strengthen their academic and sports capabilities in environments suitable for their development,” commented Bernier Chaman, Commercial Leader of BCP’s Southern Zone Agencies.

The project Ludwig Van Beethoven It is focused on the improvement and expansion of the school at the primary and secondary levels. It includes the construction of classrooms for both levels, as well as a pedagogical innovation classroom, laboratories, a school library, a multipurpose room, among other spaces.

“With this investment, the BCP has reaffirmed its commitment to the sustainable development of the country through improvements to the educational infrastructure, and we are convinced that, through the Works for Taxes mechanism, the private sector can join forces with the State. to improve the quality of life of thousands of Peruvians,” said Bernier Chaman of the BCP.

Since 2010, BCP has invested more than S/1,000 million through the mechanism of Works for Taxes, in a project portfolio with more than 90 initiatives nationwide. Of that group, 60% have focused on educational infrastructure and the other 40% on road infrastructure.
