Formalize your property for S/5 in Sunarp: who has access to this benefit and what are the requirements?

Through the Supreme Decree No. 002-2024-JUSpublished in the official newspaper El Peruano, the National Superintendency of Public Registries (Sunarp) will offer residents of 713 districts in poverty the possibility of accessing a registration fee of S/5 for key processes such as mortgage registration and property transfers, as long as the value of the transaction does not exceed S/72,100.

This benefit not only promotes legal and economic security in the most vulnerable areas of Peru, but also covers a variety of registration acts, such as donations, registrations and adjudications, thereby promoting the formalization of real estate in Peru.

What other areas will this Sunarp measure benefit?

The advantages of this rule also reach 54 districts located in the border area in the departments of Puno (32), Loreto (11), Cajamarca (4), Amazonas (3), Piura (3) and Ucayali (1).

What is the purpose of granting this benefit?

The strategy of the Executive Branch, by implementing a preferential registration rate, seeks to promote the formalization of real estate property and reinforce legal security in property records. This measure is designed to benefit the most disadvantaged communities in Peru and allow them more equitable access to the property registry and, therefore, facilitate the possibility of obtaining financial credits.

How did Sunarp determine the districts to benefit?

Sunarp delimited the beneficiaries of the registration rate and the 713 first locations of monetary poverty by taking statistical annex No. 1 of the publication as a reference “Peru: Total monetary poverty, robust groups and district location by total poverty level, by district, 2018” from the “Provincial and District Monetary Poverty Map 2018” of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).

What is Sunarp?
