The head of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), Hernando Cevallos reported that those restaurants that have an area equal to or greater than 200 meters may operate with 100% of their capacity, however, they must continue to respect the established protocols.
“In restaurants and the like whose customer service area that includes the lounge, the bar area and the waiting room is equal to or more than 200 meters, that is, they are large enough to avoid an excessive concentration of people, yes they will be allowed 100% capacity, of course, controlling the protocol measures, which are the distances between the tables so that there is no crowding, ”Cevallos said at a press conference.
He added that, since the whole country is at a moderate-low risk level, it no longer makes sense to set a restriction on premises with large spaces.
On the other hand, the official recalled that those restaurants and the like that have an area of less than 200 square meters must continue to respect the maximum capacity of 60%.
