In the first half of 2021, a total of 2,157 illegal or irrational bureaucratic barriers were removed. Of this figure, 32% belong to universities, while 30% correspond to district municipalities and 19% to the Pasco Regional Government, according to Indecopi.
According to the institution, during the first half of this year 66 entities were able to eliminate their bureaucratic barriers, which mainly affected the construction and real estate, telecommunications, transportation, health and education sectors.
Institutions that removed more barriers
Among the universities that eliminated the most bureaucratic barriers, the National University of Callao heads the list, with 122 obstacles eliminated, followed by the Universidad Peruana Unión (75) and the Ricardo Palma University (69). The barriers were linked to procedures for obtaining the academic degrees of bachelor and professional title, as well as charges and demands made on students.
Regarding district communes that eliminated more bureaucratic barriers, the District Municipality of Sausa (Junín) (251 barriers eliminated), the District Municipality of Uchumayo (Arequipa) (181) and the District Municipality of Tambo (Junín) (137) stand out. Which were related to the requirements for copies of documents to obtain an operating license, urban authorization license, among others.
On the other hand, among the institutions that adopted measures to avoid the creation of bureaucratic barriers are the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation with six proposals implemented, followed by the Ministry of the Interior (Mininter) with four and the District Municipality of Santiago de Surco with two.
