From the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), they assured that agricultural producers will access credits with interest rates of up to 5%.

It is worth noting that this announcement comes after the allocation of S/100 million to the Fund for the Financial Inclusion of Small Agricultural Producers (FIFPPA).

“We have met with the directors of Associatividad and Agrobanco so that the resources allocated to the FIFPPA fund allow us to lower interest rates (credits) to 5% in favor of small producers. Therefore, we are working to benefit our farmers,” noted the head of Midagri, Jennifer Contreras.

Through the FIFPPA — contemplated in the United Plan — financing will be provided to rural men and women with preferential conditions through Agrobanco.

He added that also with the Catastrophic Agricultural Insurance (SAC) there is a limit of S/800 per hectare as compensation for crops affected by natural phenomena, as well as the Co-financed Agricultural Insurance, which covers the loss of up to 65% of the crop yield. insured.
