Inflation in Metropolitan Lima reaches 0.56% in February

February inflation in Metropolitan Lima was 0.56%, reported the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).

In this way, the annualized inflation of our country goes from 3.02% to 3.30%, interrupting its downward trend and outside the target range of the Central Reserve Bank (BCRP).

Meanwhile, the accumulated Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 0.58%. Economist Juan Carlos Odar explained that “this time the increase in Lima has been greater than the national average increase (0.41%).”

It should be noted that, in January, the CPI in Metropolitan Lima was 0.02%; while, at the national level, it was 0.01%.
