Luis Miguel’s concerts in Lima, held on Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25, generated income of S/792,157 in sales of drinks and food, Sunat reported.

The collecting entity deployed a team of 35 tax inspectors, who verified the registration with the RUC and the issuance of payment receipts at 22 beverage, energy and liquor stands; 12 of hamburgers and sausages; and 2 merchandising.

The bulk of the income came from beverages and liquors, with S/639,167; while food registered S/119,564. S/33,426 was recorded for merchandising sales.

These interventions, known as Initial Verification of Compliance with Tax Obligations (Vicot), allow projecting total sales and thus validate the income that taxpayers must declare in massive events that occur nationwide.

Finally, Sunat reminded citizens that it is crucial to ask for proof when making a purchase because this guarantees that merchants declare their income earned and pay the corresponding taxes in favor of economic formalization.
