How to transfer from Bim to Plin or Yape in 5 steps?

According to what is stated on the official website of Bimyou must follow these steps to transfer money to other operators:

  1. Go to the ‘send money’ option.
  2. Enter the number you want to send money to.
  3. Select the ‘other entities’ option and choose the destination digital wallet.
  4. Enter the amount you want to send.
  5. Confirm the operation with your password.

How can you create a Bim account?

If you want to join Bim Without the need to have a bank account, perform the following steps according to their website:

  1. Download the Bim application on your cell phone. It is available for Play Store, App Store and App Gallery
  2. Enter your cell phone number
  3. Choose your type of identity document (DNI or Passport)
  4. Then you will receive an SMS with a code that you must enter in the app
  5. Enter the number of your document and its issue date
  6. Choose the operator to which your mobile number belongs
  7. Choose the electronic currency issuer to back up your money

What is Bim and how does it work?

Bim is a platform that is integrated by more than 30 electronic money service providers, created with the aim of having a common technological infrastructure. The project facilitates interoperability between different broadcasters and telecommunications operators.

The Bim digital wallet allows you to carry out various operations, such as transfers to other digital wallets, payment of basic services (electricity, water, cable, taxes), telephone recharges and purchases in various establishments: wineries, stores, pharmacies, among others. In addition, credit payments can be made to financial institutions, such as Compartamos Financiera, Kori, Adra, Caja Sullana, Caja Los Andes, Alfin Banco, Banco Pichincha and Banco de Comercio.

Bim does not require you to have a bank account to send or withdraw money. However, it does work with other banking entities such as Interbank, Banco de la Nación, Crediscotia, Caja Sullana, Caja Huancayo, Los Andes, Caja Cusco, Compartamos Financiera, CrediInka and Qapaq. These financial institutions are responsible for protecting people’s capital.

In the event that you wish to withdraw your money from the Bim account, you can do so through the respective banks of BCP and Interbank; in the agents of BCP, Banco de la Nación and Bim; using the GoPay and Ya Ganaste channels; in the Los Andes, Tacna or Maynas savings banks, and through Compartamos Financiera.
