Interbank: Luis Felipe Castellanos will leave general management next May

Intercorp Financial Services (IFS), a Peruvian financial services holding company, has announced organizational changes to promote its expansion and the development of its businesses, in addition to enhancing the strategic focus and leadership of the organization.

Starting May 1, 2024, Luis Felipe Castellanos, currently CEO of both IFS and the subsidiary Interbank, He will focus his role on leading the IFS financial platform.

“Luis Felipe will channel his experience, strategic vision and leadership in leading IFS towards its expansion path based on the development of analytical and digital capabilities in the different financial businesses of the platform. Likewise, he will join the board of directors of Interbank,” This is how the company has detailed it.

In the same way, IFS announces that, from said date, Carlos Tori Big, current vice president of Payments for IFS and Interbank, will assume general management of the bank. Luis Felipe, who joined Intercorp in 2006 and has led Interbank since 2011, has more than 25 years of experience in financial services.

Who is Carlos Tori Grande?

According to IFS, Carlos Tori Grande has a deep knowledge of the banking and payments business, which will allow Interbank to continue on its path of growth and transformation towards a digital and analytical bank.

Besides, He has more than 20 years of experience in financial services and has worked at leading banks such as Citigroup and Bank of America in New York.

At Interbank, he has held leadership positions in Commercial Banking and Retail Banking. Likewise, he has contributed to the development and positioning of Interbank. Carlos Tori has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University, has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
