Peruvians love their jobs less and less

People’s positive assessment of their workplace fell 17 percentage points: 68% of Peruvians liked their job in 2023, and for the current, the rate is only 51%, according to the study ‘In love with work’ , made by Bumeran.

26% say they are in love with their job, while 10% admit that they do not like their job and 3% hate it. In general terms, Bumeran specifies that among those who love and like their job there was an increase of 77% and those who value it negatively, an annual variation of 13% (previously only 5% hated or did not enjoy their job).

Dora Pinedo, head of marketing at Bumera, points out that among the main reasons for not being comfortable at work are dissatisfaction, insufficient remuneration, inadequacy of the job to their preferences and little contribution to personal development.

Of the universe of people who do not like their job or hate it, 25% claim that it is because they do not like the place where they carry out their activities and that their salary is not enough.

16% are honest and say that it is not their ideal job, while 13% do not enjoy doing it at all.
