The Ministry of Production (Produces) expanded the universe of beneficiaries of the Artisanal Fisherman Bonus of S/700.
According to RM No. 000040-2024-Produce, there are 4,771 artisanal fishermen who will be included in a complementary registry. From Produce they indicated to this newspaper that These fishermen belong to the 47,500 beneficiaries contemplated from the beginning, except that in their cases, observations were required due to misspelled signatures or names, among other reasons.
One of the vital requirements to receive this financial aid is not to belong to any social program, which was also corroborated by Produce to add these 4,771 fishermen to the bonus.
It is worth noting that this bonus of S/700 is executed within the framework of Con Punch Peru to alleviate the economy of fishermen’s homes, whose work has been affected by abnormal waves and El Niño.
