ONP, February 2024: review the payment schedule for pensioners

The Pension Normalization Office (ONP) began this Wednesday, February 7, the payment of pensions to retirees of Decree Law 19990, under the account credit modality. In total, there are 679,892 policyholders who will receive this money through ATMs, authorized agents or through the home visit modality offered by Banco de la Nación.

According to the ONP, pensioners will receive their payments according to the first letter of their paternal last name to avoid crowds and prioritize the safety and comfort of the beneficiaries. In the following lines, review the payment dates for ONP retirees and note the days on which the payers of said entity will deliver the amount to the homes of those who requested it.

ONP: see the payment schedule for February

From Wednesday the 7th to Monday the 12th of Februarythe ONP has been paying pensions to retirees of the decree law 19990as well as those who are in DLN° 20530 and pensions on request, the fishing regime and the pensioners of the Complementary Risk Insurance.

This entity offers its users the possibility of collecting their money in six banking entities that have branches throughout the country: Banco de la Nación, BBVA, Interbank, Scotiabank, GNB Perú and BanBif. Next, review the official payment schedule according to the initial letter of each retiree’s paternal last name:

• Wednesday, February 7: pensioners with paternal surnames that begin with the letters between A and C
• Thursday, February 8: pensioners with paternal surnames beginning with the letters between D and L
• Friday, February 9: pensioners with paternal surnames that begin with the letters between M and Q
• Monday February 12: pensioners with paternal surnames that begin with the letters between R and Z
• Thursday, February 15: international agreement. Includes pensioners from Law No. 27803.

When and where will home pension payments be made?

In the case of pensioners who, for health or mobility reasons, cannot go to banking entities, the ONP has arranged for the payment of pensions at home. This modality seeks to ensure that all beneficiaries, without exception, can access their money between Wednesday, February 14 to Friday, February 23, according to the official schedule. In total, there are 9,857 retirees nationwide who will receive their money in the comfort of their home, of which 6,124 live in Lima. They are grouped into the following zones:

North Zone

Retirees in this first group will receive their pension payment in the comfort of their homes from Wednesday the 14th to Friday the 16th of February. These policyholders who reside in the northern zone live in the districts of:

• Ancón, Bellavista, Callao, Carabayllo, Carmen de la Legua, Comas, Independence, La Perla, La punta, Los Olivos, My Peru, Magdalena, Pueblo Libre, Puente Piedra, San Martín de Porres, San Miguel, Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa of Quives and Ventanilla.

South Zone

The visit of the ONP payers to the homes of the insured in the southern zone will begin on Saturday, February 17 and Monday, February 19. Below we list the districts that comprise this group:

• Barranco, Chilca, Chorrillos, Lurín, Miraflores, Punta Negra, San Borja, San Isidro, San Juan de Miraflores, Santiago de Surco, Surquillo, Villa el Salvador, Villa Maria del Triunfo.

Central Zone

Retirees in this third group may receive the amount corresponding to their pension from Tuesday, February 20 to Thursday, February 22. These beneficiaries domiciled in Lima Center reside in:

• Ate, Breña, Chaclacayo, Cieneguilla, El Agustino, Jesús María, La Molina, La Victoria, Lima, Lince, Lurigancho, Pachacamac, Ricardo Palma, Rímac, San Juan de Lurigancho, San Luis, Santa Anita, Santa Eulalia.

ONP payment schedule: what happens if I am not at home when they come to deliver my pension?

The Pension Normalization Office has planned a special procedure for those cases in which the pensioner is not at home at the time of delivery. If Lima policyholders are not at home during the dates stipulated in the official schedule, ONP staff will make a second visit on Sunday 18th and Friday 23rd February.

ONP: How do I request payment of my pension at home?

• Submit your request through the onpvirtual.pe platform.
• Select the ‘collect pension’ option and click on ‘I want to request home payment’.
• Then, enter your ONP virtual key and complete the form with your personal information, email address and the address where you wish to receive the payment.
• You will receive the result of your request in the email you provided within an average period of five days from when you entered your request.
• Remember that the total amount of the pension will be delivered only to the pensioner.
