Bim, the free mobile wallet, announced that it now allows bank transfers to Yape and Plin. In the deployment of the interoperability strategy for retail payments of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP), the incorporation of this option contributes to massifying immediate transactions of low amounts between financial entities.
The application, which does not need a bank account to be used, has more than 2.1 million users who will now be able to receive and send money to other mobile wallets; However, Bim’s goal is to reach 5 million customers in the next five years.
“This achievement has been possible thanks to the support of the entities that have accompanied us on this journey and have facilitated successful communication with Yape and Plin. This advance represents another milestone in our mission to promote financial inclusion in Peru,” the banking application emphasized.
