In 2023, several were inaugurated mallsone of those that caused the most expectation was the Mall Aventura San Juan de Lurigancho. However, the scenario for the following years is not the same, since the Peruvian economy faces changes in the retail sector. This is made visible in a report from the Institute of Economics and Business Development (IEDEP) of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), which reveals perspectives on the opening of shopping centers.
Until 2025, only seven shopping centers will open in Peru. Some will be located in the center of Lima, La Molina, Ate Vitarte and Puente Piedra, while others will be postponed. In addition, the remodeling and expansion of other malls will also be prioritized.

Companies such as Grupo Intercorp and Parque Arauco plan to remodel several of their shopping centers in the coming years, prioritizing the optimization of services and recreational areas to attract a greater number of visitors.
Real Plaza, for example, plans to incorporate chargers for electric vehicles and new gastronomic alternatives at the Real Plaza Salaverry headquarters (San Isidro).
Currently, Asia Boulevard is being remodeled. The changes contemplate three stages that began at the end of September 2022. This year it is planned to transform the Boulevard into the hub of commerce, services, entertainment and gastronomy in the south of Lima.
