In our country, there are more than 2,700 State institutions that have not complied with depositing the money from the contributions to the Pension Fund Administrators (AFP). In the case of Lima and Callao, there are 415 entities that owe S/4,810 million to their workers affiliated with the Private Pension System, according to the AFP Association (AAFP).

This situation is also replicated in the private sector. Let us remember that the employer is responsible for withholding the pension contribution and depositing it into the Individual Capitalization Account (CIC). The easiest way to verify if the company you work for is depositing AFP money into your fund is by reviewing all the movements in your account statement through the online platform or application you use to make your contributions. . To know how much money you have accumulated in your AFP (Habitat, Integra, Profuturo and Prima), find out which of these administrators you are in. Just follow these steps recommended by the Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS):

  • Go to the SBS website and click on the ‘online services’ option through THIS LINK.
  • If you do not have an account, register HERE and enter your ID and email.
  • Next, they will send you a response to your email with a code. You just have to write it on the page.
  • Then, choose what type of ID you have and complete your personal information (names and surnames, date of birth, location, among others).
  • Once your account is created, choose the ‘AFP affiliation report’ option so you know whether or not you are affiliated with any of the AFPs.
  • In that window, you will be able to find out the date on which you entered the Private Pension System, your code, work modality and the type of AFP.

What is REPRO-AFP?

It is the payment rescheduling regime for pension debts not paid until the end of last year. Through this program, public entities can regularize their debts for unearned contributions until December 31, 2022, for the benefit of SPP members.

In accordance with Supreme Decree 272-2023-EF, national, regional and local government institutions can benefit from Repro AFP II until February 28, 2024 to manage it through the AFPnet platform.
