The National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT) verified the commercial activities that took place during the singer’s concert Ricky Martin, event held on Friday, January 19. As a result of the controls carried out at the 31 points of sale of beverages and food that operated in the National Stadium, income of S/215,697 was recorded.
With a team of 23 tax inspectors, Sunat verified the registration with the RUC and issuance of payment receipts of the 31 establishments (28 for the sale of beverages, energizers, liquors and hamburgers; 2 for craft beers and 1 for sale of cremoladas).
From the sale of beverages and liquors, income of S/142,256 was recorded, while stores selling hamburgers, chorizos and cremoladas obtained sales of S/71,081. Finally, the marketing of other drinks, such as energy drinks, recorded profits of S/2,360.
Why does Sunat carry out these operations?
With this type of intervention, known as Initial Verification of Compliance with Tax Obligations (VICOT), it is possible to do a projection of the total sales made by taxpayers, which allows validating the income that they must declare. It should be noted that the controls, which began this year, are carried out at massive events organized throughout the country.
The Sunat Remember that it is very important that attendees of concerts and other massive shows request proof of payment when purchasing a product, because this guarantees that taxpayers declare all the income obtained and pay the taxes that correspond to them, promoting formalization of the economy.
