The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Fund Administrators (SBS) raised to S/3 million 597,276 the minimum capital required of pension fund administrators (AFP) for 2024.
The measure was made official through Circular No. AFP-183-2024, published in the Legal Standards bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano. For 2023, the SBS had established a minimum capital of S/3 million 484,483.
The update is carried out in accordance with the provisions of article 14 of the Single Ordered Text of the Law of the Private Pension Fund Administration System and article 2 of Title II of the Compendium of Regulatory Superintendency Standards of the Private Fund Administration System of Pensions, approved by Resolution No. 054-98-EF/SAFP and its amendments.
