The Peripheral Road Ring project will not only increase the connectivity and productivity of Lima and Callao, it will also give quality of life to the thousands of passengers who daily face the chaotic traffic in Lima, which affects the most vulnerable.
“Allowing many families to reach their destinations on time and have greater access to institutions located within their area of influence (health centers, educational institutions, shopping or recreation centers, among others), by complementing it with other roads in the city “the agency continued.
Along these lines, the head of the MTC, Raul Pérez-Reyes, emphasized that the modern road infrastructure that our country needs must focus on the citizen, providing them with a sustainable and quality service that provides them with dignity and better living conditions.
For his part, the executive director of ProInversión, José Salardi, highlighted the importance of this project as a mega-project that consolidates the confidence of private sector investments in the country.
I also point out that ProInversión has recently received a new portfolio of projects from the MTC for a total estimated investment amount of US$4.3 billion, which would be integrated into the current portfolio promoting the Transportation sector.
These are 20 PPP projects, among which stand out: 2 National Road Network Conservation projects and 8 airports that are part of the Third Group of Airports, including the operation and maintenance of the Chinchero airport.
