A strategic intervention in the region Freedomwhich aims to reduce the possible effects of El Niño phenomenon, has allowed the installation of 11 modular bridges. The work is carried out by Provías Nacional of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications.
In this way, the initiative aims to improve the hydraulic capacity of the Chagual Bridge on the El Pallar-Tayabamba highway (PE-10C route) as well as the installation of 11 modular bridges with an investment of S/15,060 million. With these tasks, they will optimize the functionality of 14 roads in the region Freedom.
The 11 modular bridges are strategically distributed along the route of the El Pallar-Tayabamba highway, with names such as Los Cedros, Los Chivos, Shongota, Llaupa, La Hacienda, El Caipo, Chilcapampa, El Balcón, Puente Quebrada Carhuac, Huancas and San José. Precisely, the latter is the one that shows the greatest progress with 88.7%.
The safe transportation of citizens and agricultural products in La Libertad is guaranteed with these bridges. Likewise, they will strengthen physical connectivity between districts and regions of the north, which leads to the development and competitiveness of the region, aspects that must continue uninterrupted even in the context of the FEN 2023-2024.
Importance for the provinces of Sánchez Carrión and Pataz
From Provías they explained that the intervention of the Chagual Bridge, of more than 85 meters, is of utmost importance given that it must unite the Liberte provinces of Sánchez Carrión and Pataz. In this case, the board will be raised to improve the hydraulic capacity and guarantee the passability of vehicles in the face of the imminent arrival of the El Niño Phenomenon (FEN).
