Companies with different activities have made different decisions in view of the upcoming end of the year festivities. PwC Peru presented a survey among benefits to collaborators and work modalities in the following months.
According to the results, 77% of the companies already returned to their offices during 2021 or plan to do so in 2022. In addition, the return modality is mixed between the face-to-face and the virtual by 80%, while the remaining 20% would do it full-time.
January 2022 will be the month in which it is considered with the greatest intention, 33%, for the return to the offices. The other percentages are as follows:
Pwc’s Business Consulting partner, Oscar La Torre, points out that “we must still continue with the protocols that COVID-19 required. It also considers that returning to the offices is an important step to recover the levels of interaction necessary for the professional development of workers.
At the beginning, he projects that the return to the work centers will be in a mixed mode between remote and face-to-face, which will require planning to define days and tasks to be carried out in the offices. This new model would be perfected and will be part of the new work normality that was envisioned at the beginning of the pandemic.
Christmas presents
In addition, the 97% of companies consider giving a gift to their workers for Christmas, known as Christmas bonus. These are delivered in 99% of cases to all levels of the company and 1% only to operators.
On the other hand, the gift options are turkey vouchers with 46%, Christmas basket with 38%, gift card with 37%, panettone with 26%, cash bonus with 7%, among others.
In addition, the 67% of the participating companies have considered carrying out some type of activity for parties end of the year. The companies that consider some type of celebration considered: virtual party 68%, raffles 23%, face-to-face celebration 21%, contests 13%, other 11%.
Work schedules
During Christmas and New Years many workers will have to work. According to the survey, in terms of working hours on December 24 and 31, 46% of companies will have no jobs, while another 46% will only work until noon. On the other hand, 6% will keep the regular schedule.
Non-working days will be taken into account of holidays for 46%, while for 34% they will be days off and 16% will have to make up the hours in the future. Finally, 13% of companies surveyed consider giving the week of December 24 to 31 free for workers.
What’s more, By 2022, 59% of companies participating in the study plan to continue or implement a summer schedule. Those organizations that have already implemented this benefit (41% of the study participants) have opted for the following modalities:
