Petroecuador has updated the recommended price of a gallon of super gasoline to $3.56. The value will apply from Friday, January 12 from 00:00 at petrol stations owned and operated by public companies.

The entity explained that the value was published and calculated based on the international prices of oil and its derivatives, “factors that are external and do not directly depend on the country or the public company,” it said.

The recommended price of super gasoline has maintained its downward trend in recent months. In December it was USD 3.61, and in November it was USD 4.28; while in October it was 4.37 dollars.

Petroecuador reminded that extra and ecopa gasoline prices are frozen at $2.40 per gallon, as well as diesel at $1.75.

The state-owned company assured that it has sufficient fuel stocks at its refineries, clean product terminals and gas stations to meet the country’s domestic demand.
