For a few days now, anomalous waves have been recorded in the Mar de Grau and the home economy is no stranger to climatic events, since prices rise due to the interruption of fishing activities.

The Republic confirmed that In the port of Callao, the value of the species has increased fivefold. For example, mackerel went from S/1.00 per kilo to S/5.00; Meanwhile, that of bonito rose from S/2.00 to S/4.00.

Fishing merchants also reported that horse mackerel rose from S/2.00 to S/5.00; the parakeet, from S/4.00 to S/8.00; and the squid, from S/3.00 to S/7.00.

Ports closed until Sunday, January 7: LPG will increase

After the confirmation of anomalous waves on the Peruvian coast until next Sunday, January 7, according to the Port Authority (Dicapi), the internal LPG supply flow begins to suffer its first damage.

Petroperú, for its part, has confirmed that the Talara terminal will remain closed until Sunday. Although it only supplies LPG to 8% of the country, especially to the north and by land (tank truck), the problem will occur in the rest of the coast if sea conditions do not improve.

It should be added that the taps have stock for two or three days, and due to abnormal waves, long queues are generated as there is no supply to meet the demand. This shortage drives up prices.
