Alert for fake BCP pages
ESET, a cybersecurity agency, has warned that cybercriminals are creating fake web pages of the Banco de Crédito del Perú to obtain victims’ personal information (card number and passwords) and thus be able to steal their savings. This method of deceiving with fake links is called phishing and has been around for some time.
Although at first glance these pages are very similar to the original ones, you must be careful and verify that the URL is correct. Also, avoid clicking on ads and entering links that arrive on your cell phone saying they are from your bank.
