According to the data, during the 2022-2023 period, China stood out as the world’s largest producer of grapes, with a production of 12,750,000 tons. This represents a growth of 6.43% compared to the previous period.

In addition, the Asian country contributed 45.7% of total production worldwide. On the Peruvian side, our nation was ranked ninth and was surpassed by another nation of South America.

Peru stood out as the leader in grape exports with 593,000 tons, an increase of 10.43% compared to the previous season, representing 16% of the global total.

Chile, for its part, took second place. Although its exports decreased by 18.26%, it contributed 13.41% of the total.
