Peru 2024 Bonds: what subsidies are in force and what are the requirements to collect them?

The Government of Dina Boluarte will continue to provide bonds at the national level to help the most vulnerable population in the face of the country’s economic recession and the possible negative impacts of the El Niño phenomenon. These subsidies are part of the State’s social protection policies, but they have a deadline to collect them.

Unlike 2023, when supplementary credits were approved that included a series of extraordinary subsidies for public sector workers and to assist families affected by the housing collapse, this year only some economic compensations are in force. Next, we will tell you what the requirements and deadlines are to collect them.

Bonus of S/700 for artisanal fishermen

In accordance with Emergency Decree No. 038-2023, more than 45,000 artisanal fishermen will benefit from the delivery of the second bonus of S/700 that will be paid by the National Fisheries Development Fund (Fondepes). To date, more than 29,000 of these workers have received this subsidy granted by the Government to mitigate the economic impacts resulting from anomalous waves and the occurrence of the El Niño phenomenon.

What are the requirements to collect the S/700 bonus?

The payment of this economic bonus for artisanal fishermen will be made through the National bank, without charging commissions or expenses to the beneficiary, amounts that remain the responsibility of Fondepes. According to article 3 of Emergency Decree No. 038-2023, these are the requirements to collect it:

  • Formally dedicate yourself to artisanal fishing activity, according to the Regulations of the General Fisheries Law, approved by Supreme Decree No. 012-2001-PE.
  • Be included in the registry of beneficiaries of artisanal fishermen approved by Ministerial Resolution No. 00424-2023-Produce.
  • Not receive benefits from other social programs.

S/700 bonus: until when is it paid?

Artisanal fishermen who are registered in the register of beneficiaries, prepared by the General Directorate of Artisanal Fisheries of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production, may collect the bonus of S/700 until February 28 of this year. To do this, they must go to the Banco de la Nación agencies and present their current ID.

Lease bonus for emergencies of S/500

This year, the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) will continue with the delivery of the Housing Leasing Bonus for Emergencies (BAE) which amounts to S/500. This subsidy It is delivered preventively to families living in risk areas due to the El Niño phenomenon for a maximum period of two years. so that the victims can rent new housing in safer areas.

What documents should I present to request the S/500 bonus?

  • The application for granting the Housing Rental Bonus for Emergencies (BAE).
  • The sworn declaration of not having housing other than the collapsed or uninhabitable one located in the department of origin.
  • The rental contract for the home signed with the owner and signatures legalized before the justice of the peace or notary public.

Bonus for teachers of S/380

In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement 2023-2024, which was signed between the Ministry of Education (Minedu) and the Unitary Union of Education Workers of Peru (Sutep), the granting of an exceptional bonus of S/ 380 by 2024.

Although the details to begin delivery to teachers are still unknown, Minedu plans to do so during the first quarter of this year.

Breastfeeding bonus of S/820

According to the EsSalud website, the breastfeeding subsidy is a Social Health Security benefit that is given to the mother of the newborn of an insured person and has the purpose of contributing to the care of the baby. This amount is equivalent to S/820; but, in the case of a multiple birth, the subsidy is granted for each child.

What are the requirements to collect the S/820 bonus?

  • Have three consecutive or four non-consecutive months of contribution within the six calendar months prior to the delivery period.
  • Have an employment relationship at the time of birth.
  • The infant must be registered as the beneficiary of the insured person.
  • If the mother of the infant is not a primary insured, she must be registered with EsSalud.
  • If the infant dies, posthumous registration must be carried out.
