The Peruvian Government approved the expansion of state guarantees of the MYPE Business Impulse Program – Impulso MyPerú up to the sum of S/2,000 million.
Through supreme decree No. 325-2023-EF, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) establishes the increase as part of the exceptional and temporary measures in economic and financial matters “for the extension of the maximum amount and period of reception authorized for grant the credits”.
“In order to face the economic consequences of the El Niño Phenomenon (FEN), which will affect the recovery of the country’s companies, especially micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) that need financing for the development of their productive activities,” supports the MEF.
The new debt service resulting from the extension of guarantees will be attended to by the MEF from the budgetary resources assigned to the payment of public debt service.
