The Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries has signed its first investment contracts of the current administration of President Daniel Noboa. This was announced by the Minister of Production, Sonsoles García, after finalizing agreements with private companies through the Strategic Committee for the Promotion and Attraction of Investments (Cepai).
These are three investment contracts totaling $67.5 million that will generate 1,665 jobs related to the aquaculture and manufacturing sectors in the provinces of Santa Elena, Guayas and Tungurahua.
“More than 9.5 billion dollars of investment contracts in two and a half years, despite the difficulties”, emphasizes Daniel Legarda on the last day of the Government
García explained that the investment projects are related to the strengthening of larval production capacity in the aquaculture sector, the launch of a shrimp packaging plant for export and the production of PVC compounds to supply plastic raw materials and win a greater market share in the region.
“The signing of these three new investment agreements is the starting point for all the investment attraction that will be created with the New Ecuador,” said Minister García.
