The General Index of the BVL could rise between 10% and 15% in 2022

The Lima Stock Exchange Index could rise between 10% and 15% next year, mainly if the political noise diminishes, said Daniel Guzmán, general manager of Credicorp Capital SAB during the virtual conference “Bolsa y Mercado de Valores: how ends in 2021 and outlook 2022 ″.

In addition, he stressed that important advances could be seen in the main sectors of the national economy.

“To the extent that political, regulatory and tax noise is controlled, we could see important advances in mining, considering high levels of metal prices and the start-up of new projects; as well as in banks and electricity companies, in the first case considering the expected growth in the portfolio, with controlled delinquency levels; and in the case of electricity companies, under the expectation of greater dynamism in demand coming mainly from free customers, “he said.

Thus, in the real estate sector, the positive scenario would be driven mainly by the economic recovery, less restrictions on mobility and government stimulus programs.

In the same way, the construction item would maintain good dynamism thanks to self-construction, high levels of family savings and higher housing requirements due to the new normal imposed by COVID-19.

In the case of the mining sector, it would benefit from the higher prices of minerals, mainly copper, due to its high demand for the implementation of renewable energies.
