Since December 23, the payment of the S/800 bonus to the new group of tourist guides, graduates and artisans of Peru began. Find out when the deadline to collect this subsidy expires and see if you are a beneficiary.

The government of Dina Boluarte has been providing a bonus of S/800 to tourist guides and artisans with the aim of reactivating this important sector for the country and alleviating the financial difficulties that these workers faced due to the economic recession and the impacts of the climatic events.

This payment is aimed at more than 27,000 tourist guides, graduates who work in this field, mountain guides, hikes and independent artisans who are identified by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur). When does the deadline to collect the S/800 bonus expire?

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) specified that tourist guides and artisans in Peru will be able to collect the bonus of S/800 until December 30 of this year. To make any queries, the telephone line enabled for the campaign is available: (01) 6804854.

How will the S/800 bonus be paid?

According to article 9 of Emergency Decree No. 029-2023, the delivery of the financial subsidy of S/800 is personal and must be made at the windows of the Banco de la Nación, carrying the National Identity Document (DNI) and indicating who have an Electronic Payment Order (OPE) in their name.

Mincetur enabled a website to check if a tourist guide and artisan can access the financial subsidy of S/800. You just have to follow these steps:

  • Go to the Mincetur online consultation page HERE.
  • Click on ‘tour guide’ or ‘craftsman’, depending on your profession.
  • If you are an artisan, write your ID number and date of birth.
  • In the case of tourist guides, they must enter their RUC number, DNI and date of birth.
  • Then, select the ‘consult’ option and, in this way, you will know if you are a beneficiary of the S/800 bonus.

What are the requirements to access the S/800 Bonus?

  • If you are a tourist guide, licensed in tourism or mountain guide, you must have current and valid registrations as of December 31, 2022 with the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism or the one that takes its place in the Regional Government.
  • If you are walking guides, you must also be registered with the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism or the one that takes its place in the Regional Government as of December 31, 2022.
  • Tourist, mountain, hiking guides and licensees who carry out this activity must be in active status in the Single Taxpayer Registry (RUC) and have the status of tax domicile as of December 31, 2022.
  • In the case of artisans, they must be registered in the National Register of Artisans of Mincetur as of December 31, 2022.
  • Not be beneficiaries of other economic subsidies or other social programs nor be registered as dependent workers in the Monthly Payment Form (Plame).
  • Be included in the Register of Beneficiaries referred to in article 8 of DU No. 029-2023.
