The state-owned Petroecuador awarded the last two tenders in 2023 for the sale of Trafigura and Unipec place of crude oil, so approximate revenues of 331 million dollars are expected, according to a press release published this Saturday, December 23.

The award was made last Friday: 2,160,000 barrels of Oriente crude to Trafigura, representing a -$6.25 spread and a $3.57 per barrel premium. While Unipec América won an award of 2,880,000 barrels of Napo crude oil offering a difference of -$13.35 per barrel.

Petroecuador has indicated that this sale is expected to generate approximately $331 million in domestic revenue. He also pointed out that the shipments, totaling 5,040,000 barrels of crude oil, will be delivered to the companies in January next year. Exports will be managed according to the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) Crude Marker.

He also noted that with this sale there are a total of 22 crude oil exports on the market. place conducted during this year.

According to the statement of the state-owned company, 36 Oriente crude oil companies and 35 Napo crude oil companies, qualified in the Supplier Register of the International Trade Administration of these companies, were invited for these processes.

On the other hand, Petroecuador also reported that between January and March next year, it will export 1,900,000 barrels of fuel oil no. 6, in 10 deliveries of 190,000 +/-10%, to Trafigura PTE. LTD., which presented a difference of -$8.16 per barrel.

The resource proceeds from this sale will be approximately $118 million. This public tender was held on December 21.
