A few days ago, Yape presented its new functionality to facilitate the receipt of money from abroad quickly and easily. With this new tool and its other operations, the popular digital payment app continues to position itself as one of the most attractive for the 13 million customers it has in our country.

But, not only adults have the possibility of using Yape to carry out economic transactions. Parents can also create an account for this Banco de Crédito app for their minor children. In this article, we tell you what the steps are to do it. Take note!

How to create a Yape account for my minor child?

If you are a parent and want to create a Yape account for your minor children, you can open an additional one on a cell phone other than yours. However, it is recommended that you talk to your little ones about the responsible use of money and access codes, since the ownership of financial operations will rest with you. Remember that the minor’s data will be protected and those that appear at the time of yapping will be yours. Next, review these 3 steps:

  • Registration with ID, without card: download the Yape app on the new cell phone and choose “only with your ID” as an affiliation method. After that, register all your data, not those of the minor. Keep in mind that you can only have a Yape with a DNI (without a card) in your name and if you already have an account of this type, you can create a BCP account to register it in your additional Yape.
  • Joint account with your children: Download this super app on your new cell phone and create the account by registering your data as the owner of the joint account.
  • Additional BCP account: Download Yape on your additional cell phone and register the account by writing all your information as the debit card holder. If you do not have a BCP account, you will need a new one.
