The agricultural bonus of S / 350 will benefit 65,700 small farmers with less than two hectares of production due to the increase in fertilizers. For this, the Government will have an item of S / 23 million, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri).
According to Migagri, monetary support is part of the Executive’s actions to guarantee the 2021-2022 agricultural season, in line with strengthening food security in the country.
In this regard, the head of the portfolio, Víctor Maita, said that the measure “seeks to benefit a vulnerable segment of family farming whose economy was impacted not only by the pandemic but also by the increase in the price of agricultural inputs.”
Small producer voucher
Last November, the Government made official the transfer of S / 250 million to Midagri for economic subsidies to small producers of family agriculture of two to ten hectares that have purchased fertilizers during the Agricultural Campaign 2021-2022.
At that time, Minister Maita said that the economic subsidy will benefit more than 300,000 small farmers with an amount between S / 350 and S / 1,300.
