The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, held a meeting at the Government Palace with businessmen and representatives of the National Society of Mining and Oil (SNMPE), in which they discussed issues about the situation of hydrocarbons in the country and the importance of the massification of gas to all sectors of the country.
“We have agreed on several issues, especially the issue of gas overcrowding so that it can reach more Peruvians in the shortest time,” said a representative of the SNMPE.

They also reported that they did not address the Camisea gas issue. However, they expressed their commitment to work together with the Government to bring gas to the sectors of the country where fuel does not arrive.
“We have talked about the importance of making more investment in the sector that leads us to produce hydrocarbons in the short term and the importance of the development of the hydrocarbons sector in the social and economic sphere to the population of all of Peru,” they indicated.
The meeting was attended by President Pedro Castillo with seven businessmen linked to the hydrocarbon sector, as well as representatives of Pluspetrol, Calidad, Savia, and others.
