Next Tuesday, December 19, at the plenary session of the National Assembly, the second and final debate on the Organic Bill on Economic Efficiency and Employment, the Government’s initiative proposing tax incentives for staff employment, is scheduled. , creation of free zones, tax amnesty, among other measures.

In this context, the President of the Republic, Daniel Noboa, expressed that “for the benefit of all” a “quick treatment and approval” of the norm is expected.

The President addressed the bill on the afternoon of Friday, December 15, during the Vice Admiral Promotion and Commencement Ceremony held in Salinas (Santa Elena).

During his speech, Noboa said that he assumed the power of the state aware of what this “enormous challenge” means: “the fight against insecurity, unemployment, inequality and corruption”.

“In order to solve these problems, we need to create more jobs, better opportunities, especially for young people. In addition, we must attract private investments and strengthen the economy”, he said and indicated that this is why the economic bill was presented.

At the Naval Forces Ceremony, Rear Admirals Jaime Vela and Miguel Córdova were promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral.

Vice Admiral Jaime Vela, head of the Joint Forces Command (FF. AA.), urged commanders to “practice and demand honesty, transparency and professionalism to the maximum.” He said that all HRM members and civil servants are invited to demand legality and legitimacy in all actions of superior or subordinate personnel.

For his part, President Daniel Noboa expressed confidence in the work of the navy, which will take care of the seas and rivers, and thus protect citizens from organized crime and terrorism.

“We will not stop for a second in the fight against crime,” Noboa said, describing the government’s security plan as including technology, intelligence and international cooperation.
