SBS dissolves five cooperatives and sends one to intervention regime

The dissolved cooperatives are Globalcoop Ltda, Lurín Perú, Riquezas de Cajamarca, Financenter y Bienestar, Desarrollo y Asesoría Vida. The cooperative sent to the intervention regime is Bienestar Perú Ltda.

The Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) declared five Savings and Credit Cooperatives (Coopac) in dissolution, and determined that one be subject to intervention regime.

The dissolved cooperatives are Globalcoop Ltda, Lurín Perú, Riquezas de Cajamarca, Financenter y Bienestar, Desarrollo y Asesoría Vida. The cooperative sent to the intervention regime is Bienestar Perú Ltda.

According to SBS, the five dissolved were due to inactivity, according to the fundamentals that govern the cooperative system. In this way, it was resolved to “exclude them from the National Registry of Savings and Credit Cooperatives Not Authorized to Raise Resources from the Public.”

From now on, it is prohibited to initiate judicial or administrative proceedings against these cooperatives for the collection of debts owed to them, to pursue the execution of judicial resolutions issued against them, or to constitute liens on any of their assets to guarantee their obligations.

They cannot be done either Paymentsadvances or compensation, or assume obligations on her behalf, with the funds or assets that belong to her and are in the possession of third parties, as well as constitute a precautionary measure against her assets.

As for Bienestar Perú Ltda, a representative will be assigned on behalf of the SBS to determine its real assets and prepare the record of convocation and quorum of its General Assembly.
