In the recent data from the INEI, the Peruvian economy fell 0.82% in October and in interannual terms, it fell 0.27%.

In this regard, the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) predicts that in November and December there would be a limited moderation in the results of national production.

“The indicators that we are observing would indicate that in November and December there would be a moderate economic recovery,” said the central manager of Economic Studies of the BCRP, Adría Armas, during the presentation of the Monetary Program.

Some indicators such as the recovery of the service sector and sales would explain the performance, since food prices that have been dragging since last year have finally been normalizing.

Armas assured that the threat of El Niño phenomenon translates into negative GDP results in recent monthsalthough he noted that “we are just seeing a reduction in their anomalies.”
