Government makes new regulations official that also provides coverage to large companies. The MEF strategy contemplates the expansion of the Impulso Myperú state-guaranteed credit program to S/15,000 million for its fund.

The Peruvian Government modified the Operating Regulations of the MYPE Business Impulse Program – Impulso MyPerú to allow large companies to enter the credit system with state coverage.
The strategy of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) contemplates the expansion of the Impulso Myperú state-guaranteed credit program to S/15,000 million for its fund.
According to ministerial resolution No. 419-2023-EF/15, the credits eligible to access the Impulso Myperú program will go from having a limit of up to S/90,000, to having a limit of up to S/10 million, according to the parameters for credits established by the SBS.
The payment term of the eligible credit must be equal to or greater than 12 months and up to a maximum of sixty 60 months, including the grace period granted in which only interest is paid, which cannot be less than 6 months nor greater than 12 months.
In the case of eligible credit granted to companies in the tourism, agriculture, construction and fishing sectors, the payment term can reach 72 months, including the grace period of up to 24 months.
The eligible credit can be granted until June 30, 2024. The previous regulation indicated the deadline was December 31, 2023. The loan has graduated coverage according to the percentages indicated below:
- Up to S/30,000 with coverage of 98% of the portfolio per debtor.
- From S/30,001 soles to S/90,000 with coverage of 90% of the portfolio per debtor.
- From S/90,001 to S/300,000 with coverage of 80% of the debtor’s portfolio.
- From S/300,001 to S/1 million with coverage of 70% of the portfolio per debtor.
- From S/1 million and S/1 to S/5 million with coverage of 60% of the portfolio per debtor.
- From S/5 million and S/1 to S/10 million with coverage of 50% of the portfolio per debtor.
Finally, the new regulation orders that Impulso Myperu be valid for 7 years from the end of the period up to which guaranteed credits can be granted. The previous one stipulated a validity of five, 5 and 6 months.
