Requirements include being registered with the AIRHSP and providing services on the effective date of the law.
Second bonus for the artisanal fisherman
The Peruvian Government, through Emergency Decree No. 038-2023, approved the artisanal fisherman’s bonus of 700 soles as financial aid, due to the El Niño Phenomenon and anomalous waves. It benefits more than 47,500 on-board and non-board artisanal fishermen. The Ministry of Production and the National Fisheries Development Fund will coordinate the delivery. The deadline for delivery of the bonus is detailed in the decree, with disbursement no later than February 28, 2024.
Will bonuses be paid in 2024?
According to statements by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, it is not planned to implement additional bonuses in 2024.
“We have not contemplated any additional targeted bonus like those that occurred during the pandemic or until 2021,” the official said in an interview with La República in October.
The minister added that, although there are resources in the contingency reserve, the Government’s main focus will be to promote temporary employment programs to boost the economy.
