“In the last 2 years, the adoption process of digital payments has far exceeded the growth of banking services. Thus, as of September of this year, each Peruvian adult made 229 digital payments, a growth of 50 percent compared to the end of last year.“, indicated the entity.

Increase in digital wallets
Interoperability between electronic wallets has been one of the aspects that has improved the increase in the use of digital for commerce. Thus, for the ninth month, these operations reached approximately 1.6 million daily transactions, accumulating a monthly total of 83 million transactions.
Furthermore, it is expected that with the implementation of phase 2 of interoperability, which expands the interconnected ecosystem by including entities that offer immediate transfers and establishes interoperability between QR codes, the upward trend is expected to continue.

Added to this is the access of Electronic Money Issuers to the Electronic Clearing House, which will allow users who have accounts in non-banking entities to join.
