Dollar closes slightly lower: how much was it quoted this Friday, December 1?

The dollar closed the day on Friday, December 1, with a rise and stood at S/3.7350, which meant a decline of 0.11% compared to Thursday’s close when it was quoted at S/3.7390, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP). So far this year the currency has accumulated a variation of -1.89%.

At 2.00 pm the US currency in the parallel market It was quoted at S/3,720 for the purchase and S/3,740 for the sale. While in the banking market The purchase amounted to S/3.7010 and the sale amounted to S/3.7650 at the counters of the Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP).

Internationally, according to Reuters, the greenback weakened after two days of gains, as Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell adopted a cautious tone regarding possible movements in interest rates, suggesting that the central bank of The United States has probably completed its adjustment cycle.
